President – Doug Lape (president@leacroft.org)

Doug and his wife Anne moved to Villages of Leacroft in February of 2016 upon relocating from Columbus, OH.  Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Doug has a strong work-ethic and experience leading groups.  He currently holds a Director position at UNC Charlotte and, while in Columbus, served as President of The Ohio State University TBDBITL Alumni Club of over 7,000 people and served on a condo association HOA board.  Doug takes a lot of pride in his community by being involved with University City Partners, Prosperity Village Area Association and volunteers at his local church.  During his down-time, Doug enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending NASCAR events, football games and watching re-runs of Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens!  During the football season, Doug is busy cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Vice President – Dennis Mourning (vicepresident@leacroft.org)

Dennis and Jackie moved to Leacroft in May 2014 from Wildwood (St. Louis) Missouri to be closer to their daughter and two grandchildren who live in Huntersville. Dennis and Jackie also have a son and three grandchildren who live in Lafayette, Louisiana.  Dennis grew up on a family farm near Kane, Illinois and still misses the farming life.  After spending 18 months in Germany in the Army in 1969-1971, Dennis worked in the savings and loan business for eleven years and in 1988 he was hired to be the General Manager of the largest wholesale beverage distributor in Southern Illinois. In 1988, he was hired by NAPA Auto Parts to be the Operations Manager for their Mt. Vernon Distribution Center and in 1992, Dennis was transferred to NAPA’s New Orleans Distribution Center where he and Jackie enjoyed the food and the culture. In 1995, Dennis was transferred to NAPA St. Louis as President and General Manager for the greater St. Louis region. In 1995, he joined Marcone Appliance Parts, the nation’s largest wholesale appliance parts distributor as their General Manager. In 2000, he was recruited as the Vice-President / General Manager by Indoff, Inc. where he was in charge of their four wholesale divisions and almost 300 salespeople throughout the US.  In 2010, he retired although remained very busy in church work, consulting, playing golf, and fishing.

As Immediate Past-President of Leacroft, Paul and his wife moved to the community in September 2008 and plan to live here for many years to come.  He has a BSBA in Production & Operations Management with minors in Finance & Accounting.  Paul is an owner of  an HOA management company however his firm does not manage Leacroft for many reasons but he brings his 14 years of expertise in Associations to the Board and the membership at large.  He is a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), an Association Management Specialist (AMS) and a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) .  The PCAM designation is held by only ~2500 other people in the world who specialize in the Association Management business.  Prior to going in to business for himself Paul held  positions in marketing and advertising fields where he oversaw large portions of the marketing budgets for many Fortune 500 companies and many smaller regional clients. In his free time he enjoys traveling with his wife and their two dogs, being outdoors in the woods somewhere and has even been known to jump out of a perfectly good airplane at 15,000 feet.

Robert and his wife Detroit moved to Leacroft in 1999. They have three grown children and five grandchildren all who live in the Charlotte area. Robert is originally from Charleston SC. Robert joined the US Army as an Officer in 1976 and retired achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Logistics after 23 years of service. During his service, he was stationed in Ft. Campbell, KY, Fort Devens, MA, and The Army Reserve Personnel Center in St. Louis, MO plus other various military assignments. After retiring from the Army, Robert spent the next 17 years as an Outpatient Healthcare Professional. He served on several Healthcare Boards as a member and as a chairperson before fully retiring in 2019. Robert has been involved in various Leacroft activities and was appointed as a Leacroft HOA Board Member in the fall of 2022. Robert and Detroit live an active lifestyle, are very active in their Church, and are also very involved with their family, especially their grandchildren. Robert is committed to keeping Leacroft stay safe, attractive, and clean.
